It’s that time, friends! Time to name my February Birchbox faves!
February’s box had quite a few goodies in it but I have to be honest and say that only two items got my 100% seal of approval. The other products were great, but I would only consider buying two of them at full price.
First off- my new skin care favorite: Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant. Prior to using this product, I have used the St. Ives Apricot Scrub. This winter has been especially harsh on my skin and hair, so much so, that my nose
looks like it’s shedding and I’ve resorted to slathering my hair with olive oil mixed with dead baby chickens (eggs) for extra moisture. I am so dry! Because of the issues I have had with dryness this season, my go-to face exfoliator has wreaked havoc on my already temperamental skin. To the rescue, Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant! This stuff is amazing. A little of this wonder-powder goes a long way. Just add water and you have gentle little scrubbing bubbles that wash away your dead dry skin. Once I get to the last bit of my sample, I’m definitely buying a full-sized product. The advantage to this product is that it’s great for all skin types. Normally, I don’t have sensitive skin, but my husband does. I have talked him into trying this mirofoliant and his skin hasn’t broken once. I’m telling you- this stuff is worth the expense!

Favorite numero dos: Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint. It’s winter-time in Idaho and not only is my skin dry, 
but it’s pastey white. The sample color that I received is in “bronzed” which is still a little too dark for me for this time of year. I have been mixing this tinted moisturizer with my regular daily moisturizer to lighten the color. I like this stuff a lot! It definitely adds a glow to your skin and evens out your skin tone. I can see using this during the summer and completely skipping my foundation. The only downside to this product is the price. As far as application, you don't need much as a little bit of this moisturizer goes a long way. $38 is a little pricey so this is definitely a splurge item!
