Beachy Waves for Summer!

In honor of the first official day of summer, I have decided to share a beauty secret!

Want to know how to get beachy waves for summer without spending money on styling products? It's easier than you think and the three items you need are in your kitchen.

My hair is very fine and doesn't have a lot of body. When it comes to using products that add texture to your hair, they simply leave my locks heavy and create buildup. Yuck! Here's a at-home texture spray that you can make on your own that washes out easily and helps achieve those summer waves we all love!

Here's what you'll need:
2 tbsp of course sea salt. You can get this at any grocery store.
8 oz of water
Spray bottle
Mix the two ingredients in a spray bottle and that's it!

Start with dry/semi dry hair. Divide your hair into two pigtail-like sections. Spray the "sea water" in your hair, starting at the mid-shaft part of your hair through to the ends. After you spray a section, twist the section of hair and keep it twisted and blow the hair dry. Untwist the section, run your fingers through it, and you're done! This look is meant to be a little messy so it isn't necessary that your hair be completely dry. Where my hair is shorter, I find it easier to work on one section of hair at a time. If you have layers like I do, you may find that you need to separate the hair into more sections to get your beachy waves even throughout.

And their you have it. An easy DIY-texture spray to help you achieve trendy beach waves. Happy summer!
